About Waxing Services

What types of wax Dowasti use?
Dowasti uses an organic, elastic wax that is made with Aloe vera. There is no paraffin involved. The wax works for fine, coarse hair with all types of skin.
Do I need to prepare for my wax services and what is the process?
There is no preparation nor added process needed. Dowasti's License professionals will take care of you.
How long should hair be for hair removal?
For best results, Dowasti strongly recommends that your hair be at least 1/4 inch long before attempting to book an appointment.
How long does my wax last?
After receiving your wax, it would normally take 3 to 4 weeks before needing another appointment because most customer’s hair hasn't grown back to the recommended length.
At what age is it appropriate to start waxing?
Dowasti's age requirement for providing services is 18 and older. There is no upper age limit.
Can I wax if I am having my period?
Yes, we can absolutely wax you. Just keep in mind that the area will be more prone to sensitivity and you may experience more discomfort than usual. In order to successfully complete the service, you will need to wear a tampon.
Can I wax if I am pregnant?
Pregnancy is an exciting time. Your body is going through lots of changes, both physically and emotionally. But over the next nine months, shifting hormone levels can cause some unusual things to happen like growing extra hair in unwanted places, so yes! You definitely can get waxing and there is no risk at all.
Can I wax the day before or after being tanned?
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds 48 hours prior to and after any wax treatment. If you are going to go in the sun within 48 hours of waxing, we recommend wearing sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more.
Can I wax if I am on medication?
For prescribed creams like Retin-A or Differin, we advise that you stop use 7 days prior to your wax reservation and not resume use until 7 days after your wax service.

How does Dowasti perform in-home waxing?
When you book an online appointment, you can either choose a licensed professional or Dowasti can set up a representative to arrive at your destination at the time set for your appointment.

For your best experience, please follow the requirements for the specialist; 6×4 feet of space, near an outlet for table and waxing pot.
How long would small services take?
It can take from 15 to 30 minutes for small services like: Brazilian, Bikini line, BIkini full, full face or underarms.
How long would big services take?
It can take between 40 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes for big services like: Full legs, full arms, full back and shoulders, and full body.
How does Dowasti get the professionals in its network?
Dowasti has a strict structure when it comes to getting professionals into its network. All its service providers are licensed professionals who are insured and have passed background checks.
Can I book an in-home waxing service directly with a Dowasti professional?
All services provided through Dowasti are for the safety and benefit of its clients to ensure the best blissful and safest experience possible.

Dowasti does not take any responsibility or affiliations with transactions, nor do we hold any liability to the actions or business conducted outside of our rules and regulations. If you would like to add in-home waxing services while your waxing expert is performing your services, you MUST add through the website, to ensure insurance coverage for each service you receive.
What parking information do I need to provide?
Please provide detailed parking information during booking. Your waxing expert will do their best to find free parking.

Rescheduling Policy FAQs

Can I reschedule my appointment?
You are able to reschedule your appointment until 4 hours before the appointment start time without incurring a cancellation fee.

If you are rescheduling within 4 hours of your appointment start time you will need to contact the Client Experience team at info@dowasti.com or (347) 705-4842.
How many times can I reschedule my appoitment?
You can reschedule your appointment for up to three times.
Can I claim a refund after rescheduling for a third time?
Yes, you can claim a refund. However, You may receive a refund if you claim 4 hours prior to the start time of your appointment. You will need to contact the Client Experience team at info@dowasti.com or (347) 705-4842.


If you are currently or have recently been treated with Isotretinoin (Former brand name Accutane) you should not be waxed. Check with your doctor before booking your next in-home waxing appointment.

If your plans change, you can now cancel or modify your appointment on Dowasti.com at any time up to 1 hours in advance.

What if I don't show up to my appointment?
If you do not show up to your appointment you will be charged the full list price for the services booked.
